
Empowering Education through Data Literacy Integration in Compulsory Education
Project Summary:
The DATA-READY project aims to enhance data literacy skills among students in primary and secondary education across Europe by developing a comprehensive framework and building educators’ capacities.
Through teacher training, curriculum development, and policy experimentation, the project promotes data literacy as a fundamental component of digital competence. It seeks to ensure all learners are equipped to navigate the data-driven world critically and responsibly.
EAEC’s Role:
As a key partner, the European Association of Erasmus Coordinators (EAEC) leads the project’s dissemination and communication strategy. EAEC is responsible for maximizing visibility, promoting results across networks, and supporting policy-level engagement to ensure the long-term impact and sustainability of the project outcomes.’
Objectives:
- Develop a European-wide framework for data literacy in compulsory education
- Strengthen teacher training and professional development in data literacy
- Conduct policy experimentation to inform national and EU-level education strategies
- Promote evidence-based policymaking and sustainable curriculum integration
